Grammy-winning singer/emcee Lauryn Hill may be preparing to pen another baby dedication, as she is currently expecting her sixth child.
According to reports, Hill confirmed her rumored pregnancy during a performance in Detroit over the weekend.
Former first lady of the celebrated Fugees Lauryn Hill is expecting her sixth child and confirmed the news at a concert this past Saturday (June 4) in Detroit. While onstage at Chene Park in the Motor City, a late arriving Ms. Hill announced at the end of her set that she is indeed pregnant after dropping hints throughout the year that she may be expecting at a previous event. Hill currently is a mother of three boys and two girls with oldest son Zion turning 14 this coming August. Fans of Lauryn Hill will no doubt recollect when the singer immortalized her first born in song on the track “To Zion” from her debut solo album The Miseducation Of Lauryn Hill. (RapFix)
According to a fan in attendance, Hill will once again take a music hiatus due to her pregnancy.
After months of hinting about it, Lauryn made it official at the end of her concertat Detroit’s Chene Park Saturday night. “She told the crowd, ‘I’m going to be taking time off to give birth’,” Ashley Trybula of Detroit radio station Hot 102.7 tells RadarOnline.com exclusively. (RadarOnline)
A few months ago, Hill hinted at her pregnancy during a Los Angeles show.
Her intimate shows have been inspiring her to create new music. “If I have something to say and I really mean something, that’s when it’s time to put something out. And it’s getting close to that time, don’t you think? As my Jamaican brethren say, soon come,” she told her L.A. fans in April. (Rap-Up)
Hill’s first five children come from her relationship with late singer Bob Marley‘s son, Rohan Marley.
In more recent years, Lauryn Hill has recorded songs for soundtracks and mixtapes, as well as performing live at several music festivals. To date, she still avoids publicity, and is the mother of five children with Rohan Marley, the fourth son of reggae musician Bob Marley. (Wikipedia)
