LA’s own $K comes through with this melodious new cut “ALANA.” The emcee keeps it all the way real on the topic of a lost love over David Bait‘s production. Fresh out of a 7 year relationship, $K started this story this past summer with the release of his song “Who I Am,” and now he moves to the next phase of the heartbreak, from sadness to creepy obsessiveness on this new jawn “ALANA.”
Says $K of the song: “In retrospect, it’s like I did 7 years. We were High school sweethearts. I love her.. But every girl is ALANA.”
On both singles, $K shows his true artistry taking a central theme that can sometimes lead to monotonous music and flipping it into two beautifully crafted singles that sound nothing alike. Listen to part two of the story below. Look for his new album, Mama’s Boy, to drop later this year.
