Kodak Black Is “The Don”

Kodak Black’s foray into the acting world is evident in his self-directed and filmed short film, The Don. The film, which aligns with his new album Pistolz & Pearlz, revolves around a crime boss who finds himself at odds with old adversaries. The new album also marks his departure from Atlantic Records and signing an 8-figure dollar deal with Capitol Records.

The sold-out private screenings took place in Miami, Florida, New York, Atlanta, and Los Angeles on May 26, 2023, showcasing the Florida rapper’s talent in a new artistic medium. It garnered significant attention and praise for Yak’s acting skills and ability to merge his music and cinematic endeavors seamlessly.

During one of the private screenings held in Miami, Florida, Kodak Black’s mother, affectionately known as “Z Queen,” expressed her immense pride in her son’s achievements. She shared:

“I am so proud of my son. If I have something to give him, I’d give him the world.”

As news of The Don and the release of Pistolz & Pearlz spread, fellow artists and industry veterans congratulated the “ZEZE” rapper on his latest ventures. Busta Rhymes took to his Instagram to show his support and urged fans to support the album, stating:

“My bro the Young G @kodakblack NEW ALBUM #PISTOLS&PEARLZ IS OUT NOW!! LET’S RUN THE NUMBERS UP #LET’SGOOOOO!!!”
