The Georgia native hit up Instagram Friday to announce Black has had multiple Florida weapons charges dropped. Instead of putting down a massive caption, Yachty used a bunch of praying hands emojis to celebrate the news.

High-Key Details

According to Black’s legal muscle, he avoided at least 10-plus years behind bars with some charges getting dropped. Kodak’s lawyer and the Florida State Attorney put together a deal for him to enter a court-ordered drug treatment.

We’re told both felony charges of ‘possession of a firearm by a prohibited person,’ have been dismissed — which could have carried a maximum sentence of 15 years in prison. Kodak’s attorney, Bradford Cohen, tells The Blast, “The State Attorney Katherine Fernandez Rundle and her team sat down with me and listened to everything I had to say about Kodak.” (The Blast)

Wait, There’s More

Black is reportedly suffering in prison. A shocking post recently went viral from the jailed star’s Instagram account claiming guards brutally beat the hip-hop entertainer. The report came from inmates at the high-security prison in Big Sandy, Kentucky.

“We just heard from fellow inmates at Max. Penitentiary Big Sandy KY. In regards to @kodakblack treatment. He couldn’t call himself as he is not allowed phone or visitation for 6 months as punishment for the incident in Miami, even though that has been the case since September, they refuse to give him credit for that time. Friday night he was badly beaten while in cuffs, by 7 guards at Big Sandy KY. They struck him in the head repeatedly with a metal object, Then after one of the guards flicked his genitals and said “you’re not so gangster now, you’re gonna need bigger balls to survive”. We have notified his counsel @lawronin and he advised he will be asking for a full investigation by @thejusticedept and the FBI” – Kodak Black’s Instagram

Before You Go

Hip-hop heavyweight French Montana recently said Kodak kept it strictly business when making music together. During a chat with radio veteran Big Boy, he shared a serious yet hilarious story about shooting the “Lockjaw” video. When asked who was the most difficult to work with, French took no time to answer with the Florida rapper’s name.

“Definitely probably Kodak. Not difficult, but it just, my boy, he’s about that life. It was just, me and him didn’t have one conversation while shooting the [‘Lockjaw’] video, he just growled at me. But that’s my dawg.”
