Florida rapper Kodak Black keeps the streets fed after the release of his album Back for Everything in February. Today he's treating fans to visuals to his track “Purple Stamp.”
Back for Everything has been a commercial success, peaking at number two on the Billboard 200. Over 60,000 album units were sold during the first week of release.
Taking the color and flipping it into rhymes about his past hardships and current success, Purp Stamp is the newest visual from Kodak.
Purple Is The New Kodak Black
Kodak directed the video himself and it was shot by Wavy Lord. The rapper stuck to the purple theme throughout the video, including purple outfits, cars, and what looks like purple rain.
In one scene in the video, Kodak is seen suited and booted in his Sunday’s best, dancing in front of purple heart postage stamps. If you look closer, the stamps are actually pictures of him.
“Got a purple stamp on the door, purple stamp on the envelope I’ma send him to state prison, encouragin’ niggas behind the fences.”
Fans are already calling Kodak the ‘most versatile artist of this generation.’
It Wasn’t Me!
In other Kodak news, the “Purple Stamp” rapper recently took to Instagram to call out a foul, claiming his name was sullied by the disturbing accusations made against him. He stood accused of making unwanted sexual advances toward Rapper Latto.
