Former Los Angeles Lakers superstar Kobe Bryant knows how to surround himself with greatness. The Black Mamba has hit up social media to share an epic pic of himself and music icon JAY-Z.
The five-time NBA champion went to Instagram this week with the priceless moment from last Sunday’s Academy Awards festivities.
This week, West Coast rap heavyweight Snoop Dogg saluted Kobe on winning the Best Animated Short Film Oscar for his Dear Basketball project.
The headline-generating win also sparked handfuls of co-signs from former Los Angeles Lakers Hall of Famers Shaquille O’Neal and Magic Johnson.
Congrats to KOBE first Oscar that’s big bro #dearbasketball. Proud of you, Big honor for you and your family. I’m jealous lol

During his acceptance speech, Bryant let loose a few emotions.
Bryant, who seemed in disbelief and had to take a deep breath as he repeatedly looked at his Oscar, then delivered a message. “I don’t know if it’s possible,” Bryant retorted. “I mean, as basketball players, we are really supposed to shut up and dribble. But I am glad we do a little bit more than that.” (ESPN)
