Reality TV star Kim Kardashian might be staying out of the spotlight but she’s still taking action against publications claiming her recent France robbery was staged.
According to reports, Kim K has now gone after a Huffington Post contributor over a recently published story.
Kim Kardashian’s preparing to drop the legal hammer on a writer who published a story claiming the Paris robbery was a total sham … purley cooked up for publicity. The letter demands Sharika Soal — a contributor to The Huffington Post — publish a retraction and an apology for her Oct. 8th post which quoted Kim as saying her ordeal was a “publicity stunt gone horribly wrong.” (TMZ)
Despite the legal demand, the Huff Post writer is reportedly unable to pen a retraction.
Kim says that quote is a fabrication, and her lawyers point out that quote was actually pulled from a satirical website — a clear shot at Soal’s journalistic skills. Soal tells TMZ it’s impossible for her to give Kim what she wants because HuffPo has blocked her out of her account, so she can’t post the retraction. She says she’s explained her dilemma to Kim’s lawyers. (TMZ)
Earlier this month, reports surfaced about Kim K threatening to take legal action against publication Media Take Out over calling her robbery staged.
Kim just filed a federal lawsuit against MediaTakeOut.com for 3 posts about her ordeal … one of which alleged there was evidence Kim “staged” the robbery. In the lawsuit, obtained by TMZ, Kim says the site used random people off social media as its sources. Kim says she immediately sicced her legal team on the site … demanding they retract the posts and apologize, but got no response. So now, she’ll see ’em in court. (TMZ)
Last week, Kim’s sister Khloé Kardashian spoke on her current state of mind.
“I mean, she’s not doing that well. It’s incredibly traumatic what happened to her. But our family is super close and great and we’ll get through this together. We do appreciate all of your guys’ love and support. It will take time.” (“The Ellen DeGeneres Show”)
