Reality TV star Kim Kardashian is keeping her word on dropping a lawsuit against gossip-driven website Media Take Out if it issued an apology. The high-profile celebrity’s threat of taking the company to court ultimately helped squeeze out an apology for publishing fake stories on her recent France robbery.
According to reports, Kim K is no longer looking to sue MTO.
After being issued an apology, Kim Kardashian has dropped her lawsuit against an online media outlet that claimed her Paris robbery was faked. MedaTakeOut.com had previously alleged that Kardashian staged the elaborate armed robbery and committed insurance fraud. The site reversed course after Kardashian filed a lawsuit against the company and its founder, Fred Mwangaguhunga, for “blatant defamatory lies” and for labeling the reality star “a liar and a thief.” (USA Today)
Hours prior, Media Take Out bit the bullet and confessed to publishing bogus stories based on Kim’s life-threatening experience.
Earlier this month, reports surfaced about Kim K threatening to take legal action against MTO over calling her robbery staged.
Kim just filed a federal lawsuit against MediaTakeOut.com for 3 posts about her ordeal … one of which alleged there was evidence Kim “staged” the robbery. In the lawsuit, obtained by TMZ, Kim says the site used random people off social media as its sources. Kim says she immediately sicced her legal team on the site … demanding they retract the posts and apologize, but got no response. So now, she’ll see ’em in court. (TMZ)
Recently, Kim’s sister Khloé Kardashian spoke on her current state of mind.
