Keyshia Cole Catches Crazy Break In Birdman House Attack

Written By Cyrus Langhorne

R&B diva Keyshia Cole can breathe a sigh of relief as reports claim she no longer has to worry about facing a nasty legal war following a publicized attack at rap mogul Birdman's home a few weeks ago.

According to reports, Cole will not be prosecuted by the Los Angeles City Attorney’s Office.

Prosecutors have told Cole that instead of going to trial, they want her to appear at an informal office hearing, where someone from the City Attorney’s Office will listen to her and the victim and then give the singer a stern warning not to do it again … or else. The hearing officer can require Cole to go to anger management courses … something they’ve done in similar cases before. (TMZ)

Keyshia’s mom addressed the controversy right here…

Although brief in her response, Cole’s mom recently said she was fully on her daughter’s side.

“If I see Birdman, I’m gonna clip his wings,” Frankie said when asked about her stance on Keyshia and Birdman. “Y’all don’t want to hear none of this. What I think about Birdman? Glot! Glot! Glot! Glot-tah! What about Birdman? I’m about this [Cole album, Point of No Return].” (TMZ)

Initial details about Cole’s altercation with a woman at Birdman’s home turned up last month.

The girl Keyshia Cole allegedly assaulted for spending the night at her rumored BF’s house says she’s not Birdman’s side piece … and she has no idea why Keyshia would think they’re banging. Sources privy to the case tell us … the alleged victim is Sabrina Mercadel — a Cash Money employee for more than a decade — and she’s known Birdman since they were young. (TMZ)

Following her $46,000 bail, Cole posted a few remarks onto Instagram on September 19.
