Oklahoma City Thunder superstar Kevin Durant has shared his reaction to receiving some love from Young Money’s Drake on the new Views album.
Durant applauded Drizzy for name-dropping him on his “Weston Road Flows” song.
“It’s a good, nice song. Much more than my name drop but it’s a good song,” Durant said during a media interview. “It kind of surprised me. When your favorite rapper puts your name in a song, it makes you feel like you made it.”
On Drake’s track, he makes reference to Durant’s success.
“A lot of people just hit me up when my name is mentioned/Shout out to KD we relate we get the same attention./It’s rainin’ money, Oklahoma City Thunder/The most successful rapper 35 and under” (“Weston Road Flows”)
Drake’s newest solo offering has sold nearly 1 million albums in its first 48 hours.
Drake announced plans to release new music this past weekend.
“I love y’all and I’ma tell you like this,” Drake said. “Just because Views came out it doesn’t mean there’s not new music on the way so I’ll see you soon.”
