R&B singer Keri Hilson recently gave some words of advice to rap star Kanye West in light of having a baby on the way, most notably, not to forget about her.
While happy for his new bundle of joy arriving later this year with girlfriend Kim Kardashian, Hilson playfully said she hopes Yeezy keeps her in mind for music-related purposes.
And can we look forward to another collaboration with Kanye West? “I spent some time with Kanye. It’s very, very probable and possible,” teased Keri, while sending a message to the father-to-be. “Don’t get too wrapped up in baby world that you forget about Keri Hilson ’cause we make great music together.” As for Mr. West, she thinks fatherhood will suit him well. “I know Kanye’s gonna be a great father. He’s a very kind-hearted person, very caring. I look forward to seeing that side of him.” (Rap-Up)
Recently, fellow R&B singer Brandy spoke on her one-time collaborator welcoming in new life.
“It’s very exciting. I’m very happy for Kim and happy for Kanye. I was looking at pictures of them online and they just look so happy, really, really happy. I’m really happy for her. [Words of wisdom for Kim?] Oh my God, yeah, I’ve got so many words of wisdom. She’s not going [to need them] until they get about five or six but, you know, I think the key to being a good parent is just to remember you were once a child. I think when you have that perspective, everything floats.” (Pop Stop TV)
A few days ago, Kim K announced her baby would likely enter the world in July.
“I think until I really start seeing a belly it won’t really sink in. It’s just like a weird realization, but I think until you start seeing the physical changes, you know, and every day is different. … Once you’re past the three-month part, you know, you’re pretty safe. So [Kanye] just kind of goes off what he feels and he was feeling it that night, I guess — I’m due in July.” (“Today”)
Mr. West broke the news of his girlfriend Kim K being pregnant during a live concert last month.
The rapper announced at a concert Sunday night that his girlfriend is pregnant. He told the crowd of more than 5,000 at Revel Resort’s Ovation Hall in song form: “Now you having my baby.” The crowd roared. And so did people on the Internet. The news instantly went viral on Twitter and Facebook, with thousands posting and commenting on the expecting couple. (CBS News)
