Top Dawg Entertainment’s Kendrick Lamar and ScHoolboy Q look like they have something brewing. The hip-hop artists reportedly hooked up this week for a studio session.
A new pic has gone viral of K. Dot and Groovy Q together in a lab.
Earlier this month, ScHoolboy revealed how much progress he had made on his upcoming Blank Face follow-up album.
“I just left the studio like 3 hours ago. I’m halfway done with it. I never been this inspired that fast,” Q revealed. “It’s moreso my life after I made it to the point of ScHoolboy Q. I gave you me, but I never gave you the other side of me—the father, the dude that’s actually happy, the dude that doesn’t be in the hood just hanging out. The dude that’s trying to put his homies in position now.” (Beats 1)
Last month, ScHoolboy reminded fans he’s album is for sure coming out this year.
A few days ago, on his snapchat account, ScHoolboy Q posted up a photo of himself in a studio with an engineer. However, a random trip to his studio wasn’t the case, as Hoover Q confirmed that he was planning to drop a new album later this year. The untitled project is set to serve as a follow-up to last year’s Blank Face LP project, which we’re assuming more news will arrive in the coming months. (On Smash)
In mid-December, Q said he would go back into music-making mode for the new year.
