According to reports, K. Dot will bring his talent to “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” next week.
Kendrick Lamar is gearing up for his first ever daytime television performance next Wednesday. Lamar will be the next rapper to make Ellen DeGeneres do her signature shuffle, when he takes the stage on her talk show, The Ellen DeGeneres Show. His appearance is schedule to air on Wednesday, May 27. It has been announced that he will perform “These Walls,” off of his critically acclaimed sophomore album, To Pimp A Butterfly. (Complex)
Earlier this month, Lamar treated California fans to new music during a live performance.
Producer/composer Adrian Younge had a show in Los Angeles last night at the Regent Theater. As a surprise, he brought out a very special guest: Kendrick Lamar. Watch the man perform a new track—which is called “Money Over Love”, according to Okayplayer—with his To Pimp a Butterfly collaborator Bilal. (Pitchfork)
Senator Isadore Hall showered Lamar with accolades in a speech this month at the California State Senate for his Generational Icon award.
“In less than 10 years as a professional artist, Mr. Lamar has gone from a local Compton young boy to become a multi-platinum, Billboard chart-topping, two-time Grammy Award-winning musician, an incredible achievement for anyone 27 years old,” Senator Isadore Hall said. “But Mr. Lamar has not let his recent fame get the best of him. … Mr. Lamar is a familiar face in the neighborhood, giving back to his community that raised him.” (CASenDems)
