Top Dawg Entertainment’s Kendrick Lamar continues to keep the attention on him this week after coming through for his billed “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” performance.

K. Dot showed off his hit-making skills with a performance of “These Walls” on “Ellen” Wednesday (May 27).

Buzz about K. Dot’s scheduled “Ellen” show performance bubbled online earlier this month.

Kendrick Lamar is gearing up for his first ever daytime television performance next Wednesday. Lamar will be the next rapper to make Ellen DeGeneres do her signature shuffle, when he takes the stage on her talk show, The Ellen DeGeneres Show. His appearance is schedule to air on Wednesday, May 27. It has been announced that he will perform “These Walls,” off of his critically acclaimed sophomore album, To Pimp A Butterfly. (Complex)

According to reports, K. Dot rallied up some friends to record his new “Alright” music video in California recently.

Shortly after one o’clock, a flatbed truck outfitted with scaffolding and a suspension system appeared in a lot. Lamar was then hung several feet off of the ground while the truck cruised the lot’s perimeter with the eastern portion of the Bay Bridge in the background. Local rappers including Ezale and Los Rakas were among about one hundred extras. (East Bay Express)

Footage from the music video’s production set has already made its way online.
