Grammy-winning rapper Kendrick Lamar is bringing his talent to New York. The hip-hop superstar is now expected to perform at the 60th Annual Grammy Awards ceremony at the Big Apple’s Madison Square Garden this month.

According to reports, K. Dot and a few other notable musicians are the latest additions to the jam-packed performance line-up.

Seven-time nominee Kendrick Lamar, U2 and Sam Smith have signed on to perform at the 60th Annual Grammy Awards at Madison Square Garden on Jan. 28. Also, Miley Cyrus will join Elton John to perform one of his hits during the show, days before he and songwriting partner Bernie Taupin receive The Recording Academy President’s Merit Award at a star-studded tribute “Elton John: I’m Still Standing — A Grammy Salute” at the Theater at Madison Square Garden. Lamar and hip-hop mogul JAY-Z lead this year’s awards ceremony with nearly 10 nominations apiece.

Jay-Z got eight nods for his album “4:44,” which mixed dark personal confessions with meditations about race; Mr. Lamar had seven for “DAMN.,” a critical favorite and a smash on streaming services that also addressed racial politics and self-reflection. Bruno Mars had six nominations, and Childish Gambino, Khalid, SZA and No I.D. (Jay-Z’s producer) each had five. (New York Times)

K. Dot is expected to release his new Nike Cortez sneakers during Grammys weekend.

After officially joining Nike in August, Kendrick Lamar is ready to launch his first official sneaker collaboration with the brand. Tonight, Nike announced the rapper’s Cortez will release on Sunday, Jan. 28, which happens to be Grammy night. The shoes will be available through SNKRS – the show starts at 7:30 p.m. EST for an affordable $100. (Sole Collector)
