Despite the anticipation, Three Stacks said a new group LP is not yet in the making.

“There are no plans to do [an Outkast album]. It’s not like some people think: ‘They’re about to drop this album!’ We don’t have, like, one song. There’s no trickery or nothing like that,” Andre explained in an interview. “It’s kind of like growing up in a house with your brother, people expecting y’all to live in the same room and have bunk beds forever. And people try to read into it and say people are beefing. But it’s nothing like that, man. Big Boi will always be my brother and a really important part of my life.” (Billboard)

You’ll never guess who Andre wants to see play Big Boi in an Outkast biopic right here…

Recently, Andre talked about what an OutKast biopic would look like.

Rapper Andre Benjamin worked obsessively on his startling portrayal of Jimi Hendrix in the new film Jimi: All Is By My Side, and he already has ideas about a potential biopic for his group Outkast. “It would be great to make an Outkast movie right now, but instead of really serious, make it a full comedy  — like Kevin Hart would play Big Boi,” he said of his rapping partner last night. And as himself? “We should cast somebody stupid — like Leonardo [DiCaprio].” (Rolling Stone)

Early summer reports suggested Three Stacks had plans to release a follow-up to 2003’s The Love Below.

Though Three Stacks declined a formal interview, as he was alongside his son, Seven Benjamin, and two others, we did have a brief conversation about his highly anticipated solo album. André 3000 confirmed that he was indeed working on new music, but was in no rush to release it, as these things take time and precision. After a joke from a fellow member of media who said, “I’ll believe it when I hear it,” 3000 replied with a laugh and simply nodded. (HHW)

Although Boi stayed slim with the details, he did promise fans could expect his own solo offering a few months ago.

“It’s all about the 20 year anniversary of Southernplayalistic,” Boi said in an interview. “It’s a long time to still be doing music at a high caliber and having fun doing it. [Me and Killer Mike touring?] Anything can happen. We’ve got a couple new jams we recorded in the studio recently, so look out for that new Big Boi solo record coming too. So, you know, we’re just staying working, man.” (REVOLT TV)
