Hollywood actress Karrueche Tran is feeling the Internet’s wrath. The high-profile entertainer has caught some serious backlash after tossing up a since-deleted Twitter post about lean.
Karrueche went to Twitter this weekend and made a controversial comment about lean’s lameness shortly after the death of Chicago rapper Fredo Santana went viral.
Santana, 27, reportedly used “lean” — a drink concoction mixed with prescription cough syrup and promethazine, an allergy medication. The more you drink it, the more likely you are to get some of the serious effects, such as seizures. Tran wrote in a now-deleted tweet Saturday morning, “LEAN IS WEAK AF #lame #corny #sorrynotsorry” and almost immediately faced a slew of backlash for her remarks. (New York Daily News)
Karrueche quickly came forward to apologize for her insensitive-sounding remark.
That totally came out the wrong way 🤦🏽♀️ wasn’t tryna offend anyone. I meant it in general terms. Bad timing 😞
