G.O.O.D. Music head Kanye West‘s popular Yeezy Season 1 clothing line has reportedly received a few price cuts at select clothing outlets.

According to reports, some fashion stores are discounting some stitches to help clear out stocks.

Despite the staggering price points, fans still queued around the block to get their hands on the decidedly deconstructed garbs, yet most of the apparel from the collection didn’t sell out, with may retailers marking down their stock to meet with the customer. While SSENSE is still stocking the pieces at full price, stores like Farfetch, Notre, Barneys and End. have discounted YEEZY items such as its Undestroyed Sweater (from $1,560 USD to 1,092 USD), KW Leather Backpack (From $780 USD to $546 USD), and Nylon Bomber (from $2,080 USD $1,456 USD). Recently, Ye vowed to make his clothing line more affordable.

TMZ’s correspondent pressed West about the bottom line, telling the rapper he needs to drop his current prices. He agreed. “We’re gonna get ’em lowered!” West enthused as he and security stepped into an elevator. He gave no further details about how the brand was planning to cut its costs, but assured the change is imminent. “Yeah, next season,” said West, before wishing blessings to David Bowie’s family and signing a fan’s record. Ye’s high-profile line had sparked massive interest at luxury boutiques like New York City’s Barneys store when it released last fall.

Tom Kalenderian, executive vice president and general merchandise manager of men’s and Chelsea Passage at Barneys New York, said lines formed outside of the company’s Madison Avenue flagship store on Thursday morning. Customers had to secure a wristband on Wednesday night to shop the collection. It was carried at 16 Barneys’ locations and released on its e-commerce site at 10 a.m. Thursday. (WWD)

Kanye’s line had also generated interest from the digital retailer market.

Online men’s wear retailer Mr Porter picked up 16 ready-to-wear pieces and two colorways of the 950 Boot. Sam Lobban, buying manager for the site, called the demand for the product “huge” and said everything sold well across the board. The retailer will also sell the next colorway of the 350 Boost sneaker, which Lobban said could be “worn by anyone.” (WWD)
