Grammy-winning rapper Kanye West hasn’t won over the NFL quite yet. The hip-hop artist’s Yeezy cleats are reportedly banned by the professional football league.
According to reports, Houston Texans’ star DeAndre Hopkins received a hefty fine for rocking Ye’s kicks during a recent NFL game.
Houston Texans’ DeAndre Hopkins received his fine Thursday, for wearing the Adidas shoes designed by Kanye West when his team faced the Chicago Bears. Hopkins was fined $6,000 and said he doesn’t plan on wearing them again, “unless Kanye plans to pay his fine,” according to Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle. (UPI)

Kanye’s Yeezy Boost sneakers are expected to appear in the upcoming NBA 2K17 video game.
As promised earlier this summer, the adidas Yeezy Boosts will be making their in-game debut in the latest installment of the franchise. For now, the Yeezy 350 Boost has been confirmed, with the status of the 750 unclear at the moment. While it may seem like a bit of a reach to make casual sneakers playable, Lakers’ guard Nick Young actually laced up Yeezy Boosts for games last season. (Sole Collector)
