According to reports, Mr. West’s physical assault on a photographer back in July has come back to bite him.

City attorney’s spokesman Frank Mateljan says West was also charged Friday with one count of attempted grand theft. The rapper’s arraignment has been set for Oct. 10 but he is not required to appear if he has an attorney. Photographer Daniel Ramos claims West punched him in an unprovoked attack and wrestled his camera to the ground during an incident at the airport on July 19. Prosecutors declined to file felony charges against West, but city prosecutors decided to pursue misdemeanor charges. Each carries a penalty of up to six months in jail or a $1,000 fine. (ABC News)

The victim held a conference last month and accused Yeezy of giving him some nasty injuries from their Los Angeles International Airport scuffle.

Daniel Ramos appeared with his lawyer Gloria Allred at a news conference Wednesday, where Gloria announced the lawsuit for assault, battery, and interference with Daniel’s civil rights (in this case free speech). Daniel — who called himself a “filmmaker” — says he spent two weeks on crutches after the attack, and has been walking with a cane for some time. He says he’s still in pain. Gloria argued the attack sets a dangerous precedent for celebrity-on-photog violence, especially now that various celebs are actually celebrating unprovoked attacks on photogs. At one point, Gloria went after Kirstie Alley, Cher, and even Kylie Jenner for applauding Kanye’s attack on Twitter. (TMZ)

Buzz about Ramos possibly seeking legal action against Ye surfaced a day prior.

Attorney Gloria Allred is set to announce the filing of a lawsuit against Kanye West over the Yeezus rapper’s confrontation with a videographer at LAX airport in mid-July. The videographer will appear alongside Allred at a news conference on Wednesday where footage of the incident will be played. The attorney will also “strongly condemn the support that some celebrities have given Kanye West for his attack on ‘paparazzi,'” reads Allred’s statement. (The Hollywood Reporter)

Mr. West recently had a potential felony assault case dropped.

The Los Angeles County district attorney’s office on Friday declined to file felony assault and attempted robbery charges against the singer and referred the issue to the L.A. city attorney to see if the incident warranted a misdemeanor charge. West, who has long maintained a hostile stance toward paparazzi and even rapped about his contempt for the media, was captured on video July 19 wrestling the photographer to the ground. 1. yeah but trevor is on story mode not online….and why are people catching feeling when these things are in real life….i don’t get it////it’s a freaking video game for god sake

    • Yea forget about all the crimes and murders on AI people its all about the AI animals.

  2. Gotta agree, that grand theft auto v multi-player mode is fun but you shouldn’t be able to hurt the animals like that. Not trying to sound preachy but that’s wrong.

  3. Did they seriously say, “Parents… Up in arms…” What parent is letting their child play GTA5 in the first place??? They have a whole pile of other issues to deal with if any parent is letting a child (or teen) play this game and they decide to draw the line at killing animals. And then wait, it’s cool as long as people are killed, but not a freaking shark??? I’m sorry folks are being too sensitive in the context of what this game is. Either have an issue with the entire game or no issue at all.

  4. 1st off, fuck PETA and this soft ass writer. You can kill HUMANS in gta. But bcz u can shoot a deer? FOH

  5. Shit like this leads me to believe this world is filled with people full of shit. Pretty sad that a big deal is being made over a video game. You know how in movies they put “No animals were injured in this film?” (When animal violence take place in movies). Thats acceptable right? Then why is a video game not accepted? PETA, shut the fuck up. Lame ass waste of time. I doubt every single person in PETA is a fucking vegan. Go for animal killers in real life. Dumb ass organization.

  6. The Fuck?? Let’s kills cops, sell drugs, steal cars, fuck and yet people want to get soft when it comes to a damn animal (which I remind you all this bullshit is fucking FAKE!) it’s not like you kill a deer in the game and one deer out there in the woods falls the fuck out. So fuck PETA and their overly sensitive asses and fuck the bitch ass parents that let their children plan the game and fuck anybody else who agrees with them. Now let me put this game in and kill a few animals. LMFAO!!!

  7. smh how they mad about the gta 5 content when the animals in it are not real? some people are to dam sensitive.. an plus most likely its a mother or father who bought the game for THIER UNDER AGED KIDS!!! an complain after.. how about be parents an follow the game ratings instead of fighting for animals who aren’t real

  8. What kind of pussy cant handle watching a deer get shot in a video game? Somebody needs a wedgie.
