Via Twitter, Allen expressed her discomfort in reading West’s public tweet.

It’s been a minute since Kanye West posted controversial comments on his Twitter — remember his beef with Matt Lauer?– but the rapper is back in action by offering his divisive thoughts on abortion — and he’s starting to catch flack from artists like Lily Allen. Lily Allen, who has tragically suffered two miscarriages since 2008, was outraged by West’s post and was quick to let Kanye know. “Never has a tweet put me in such a bad mood. This is wrong on so many levels.” West’s Tweets are just the latest in a long line celebrity Twitter beefs that have taken place since the micro-blogging site launched in 2006. (Spin Magazine)

West’s abortion-based tweets made headlines on Wednesday (February 23).

“an abortion can cost a ballin’ n*gga up to 50gs maybe a 100. Gold diggin’ b*tches be getting pregnant on purpose.#STRAPUP my n*ggas!,” West tweeted February 23rd.

In late December, West talked about the desire to father children in the future.

“I’m a hopeless romantic and I’m looking and trying to decide who the mother of my child will be. It’s not going to be based off a whim of being in love; she has to bring a certain level to the table. I want to be married, I want that super-dope counterpart, that one woman, but she has to be super-fresh, super-smart and not overwhelmed by her career. I’ll find her, maybe I’ll be 38 … maybe I’m not fully who I am yet, maybe that’s why I haven’t found her … The main quality is that you know that this person will ride or die for you. Whether she’s mad at you, whether she’s with you or nor, she still loves you, she stills bigs you up in any circle. She doesn’t talk down about you to other people. That’s the main thing that I need.” (ID Magazine)

Last summer, West spoke with radio host Angie Martinez about his two-year run with former lover Amber Rose.

“Yeah man, it was an amazing time and it came to an end,” West said. “One of the greatest things that she showed me was just to be a nicer person because she was so disconnected from the concept of celebrity when I first met her…A celebrity could be talking to people crazy and everyone’s used to it at the label like, ‘He’s wildin’ out. It doesn’t matter.’ [Amber] be like, ‘What?! You just talked to your fans so crazy right now. I’m not even talking to you right now.’ … I grew from that. I think that was the greatest growth that I got from that experience.” (Hot 97)
