Kanye West had the world on halt when he joined forces with popular clothing retailer Gap last June. The hype of the collaboration rose exponentially more when Ye announced a collaboration with Balenciaga.
The official rollout has now begun. Pictures of the Yeezy Gap Engineered by the Balenciaga collection are making their rounds online now. Eight new pieces have dropped today from the collaboration Kanye posted to his Instagram.
All of the outfits were a shadow and continuation of Kanye’s dark futuristic style all the outfits were black. There were hoodies and T-shirts with ponchos, long tees, and jackets. There was also a tracksuit and a jumpsuit made of what appears to be the swish material, and baggy pants. Some outfits even resembled trash bags.
Some fans believe the new line isn’t much. One said it “looks like it was pulled out of my dumpster”.
Meanwhile, Kanye West made a blockbuster announcement that he is bypassing the streaming giant stronghold and exclusively releasing “DONDA 2” on his wholly-owned Stem Player. Since the announcement, the hip-hop giant has made almost $2 million on pre-sales in less than 24 hours.
Kanye even made Lil Durk postpone his album after they were originally set to both drop on 2/22/22. Lil Durk may not be scared of his ops, but he wasn’t ready to go head-to-head with Kanye West on the charts this week. Dirk just announced that he has postponed his album release and has instead released a new single.
