Grammy-winning rapper Kanye West wants to bring his talent to a California high school. New reports claim Yeezy is interested in designing Calabasas High School’s gear and re-brand its sports program.
According to reports, Ye’s crew recently met up with school members to offer a collaboration opportunity.
Our sources say he wants to change the school’s colors and rename them from the Coyotes to the Wolves … fitting, considering he has a song with the same name. As part of the deal, we’re told Kanye would make a sizable donation to improve school facilities — including major upgrades to the gym. (TMZ)
To make things even more interesting, the school reportedly already has a deal with Ye’s Adidas family.
So, why get into the high school sports fashion world? Calabasas athletics have exploded over the past few years … and some of the basketball and football players have become very high-profile. Plus, the school currently has a deal with Adidas, which owns the Yeezy brand — so, the pairing makes perfect sense. Also, Kanye and the Kardashians have deep ties to the area. (TMZ)
Earlier this week, Kanye’s sister-in-law Kendall Jenner joined Team Adidas.
Recent reports revealed G.O.O.D. Music president Pusha T had visited Kanye multiple times in Wyoming.
“Pusha T has been visiting. He inspires Kanye to write. Kanye’s trying to find his creative voice again, and he has people there to help him get, and stay, on track. He’s still a little off and is trying to get himself back,” the source said. Another source close to West told us the rapper’s stint in the mountains is not unusual. “He likes to work in remote places and be in the middle of nowhere as much as he can be,” said the insider.
