Grammy-winning rapper Kanye West is sharing tears of joy. The hip-hop star has released an epic reunion moment with Louis Vuitton artistic director of menswear and longtime protégé Virgil Abloh.
Yeezy hopped on Twitter Friday (June 22) to share the epic moment from yesterday’s Louis Vuitton fashion show in France.

Yesterday, Kanye and his wife Kim Kardashian pulled through for the Paris Fashion Week showcase.
BTW … it’s a huge moment for Kanye too, who broke down in tears meeting up with a longtime friend, Virgil Abloh — Louis Vuitton’s new artistic director of menswear. They go way back, and Virgil even worked with Kanye before taking on his most prominent role yet … becoming the first black artistic director in the company’s 164-year history. (TMZ)
Back in March, a slew of hip-hop artists celebrated Virgil landing his new Louis Vuitton gig.

Louis Vuitton’s top executive previously dished on his determination to add Virgil’s talent to the brand’s roster.
In a statement, Michael Burke, Chairman and CEO of Louis Vuitton, says that “having followed with great interest Virgil’s ascent since he worked with me at Fendi in 2006, I am thrilled to see how his innate creativity and disruptive approach have made him so relevant, not just in the world of fashion but in popular culture today.” (Forbes)
