Grammy-winning rapper Kanye West has acknowledged fellow Chicago hip-hop artist King Louie’s publicized shooting this week.

Yeezy sent well wishes to Louie and his family on Twitter Christmas Eve (December 24).

Louie posted a picture of himself and Minister Farrakhan on Instagram Thursday (December 24) night.

A clip of the car Louie was in when the gunfire took place surfaced across social media.

The shooting took place Wednesday (December 23) afternoon in Illinois.

Louis Johnson Jr., better known by his stage name King L or King Louie, was shot at and grazed in the head Wednesday afternoon in Ashburn, officials tell FOX 32. The shooting happened at 83rd and Pulaski around 3:30 P.M. King Louie is the rapper that coined the term, “Chiraq.” Police say the 28-year-old has been transported to Advocate Christ Medical Center in stable condition. He is also sitting up and talking.
