Grammy-winning rapper Kanye West reportedly turned down an opportunity to cash-in on nearly $5 million for performing in Las Vegas, Nevada.
According to reports, Mr. West could have become one of the highest paid Vegas performers.

According to the written offer — obtained by TMZ — Yeezus would have performed 3 shows a week for 3 weeks at the Axis at Planet Hollywood. For that he would have scored a whopping $500,000 per show. At that rate, he could have made more per show than J-Lo, who has an offer for $350K per show … Britney, who all told makes around $475K/show … and Celine Dion, who currently earns the most at $476K per concert. For Kim Kardashian’s 34th birthday bash, her hubby, Kanye West, joined his wife in Las Vegas to celebrate her big day. The Sin City fete took place at the Venetian Hotel and Casino’s TAO nightclub on Friday (Oct. 24). He was already in town for the Life is Beautiful festival. At the festival, Kanye opened up about hitting the bash post-show. “Y’all just have to understand how happy I am right now in all actuality,” West told the audience. “I’m just happy to see my daughter’s first smile and how happy I am to see my beautiful wife, who is here with me, and we’re going to celebrate her birthday again at Tao tonight.” (Billboard)
Details of the couple’s recent Hawaii birthday outing landed online a few days ago.
An eyewitness spotted the couple having breakfast yesterday at the Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea, and shares the sighting exclusively with Popdust. “They actually looked like any other regular couple, I had to do a double take to make sure it really was them,” the source says. “They must be staying at a private villa because I haven’t seen them around the hotel, on the beach, or around any of the pools.” (Pop Dust)
