Grammy-winning rapper Kanye West is letting the world know he has no real issues with country singer Taylor Swift despite being overheard calling her a “fake a**” backstage at last weekend’s “Saturday Night Live” taping.

Approached by paparazzi this week, West wished Swift the best and revealed his current society concerns.

“I want the best for that person,” he said after ignoring previous Swift-related questions. “But it’s people going through real issues out here. It’s people that’s out of work. It’s people that’s in debt that can’t make it out of the debt. There’s people in debt that don’t have a shoe. There’s people that’s in debt that don’t have a hit album out also. The media tries to make this ongoing story and everything for hits. I don’t think people care about me or her in that way. People care about they families, they kids. If you like my music listen to it. If you like her music, listen to it.” (X17)

A 65-second clip of Yeezy’s backstage “SNL” tantrum surfaced online Wednesday (February 17).

In an audio clip exclusively obtained by Page Six, Kanye can be heard repeatedly yelling at “SNL” production staff, “Don’t f–k with me,” before branding Swift — who he claims on his new album he made famous — a “fake ass”. Then the hotheaded rapper went on to proclaim that he is “50 percent more influential” than legendary filmmaker Stanley Kubrick, Pablo Picasso, Paul the Apostle — who was handpicked by Christ to deliver the gospel — and even the notorious drug runner Pablo Escobar. Reports this week speculate Swift fired off a couple shots at Kanye during a Grammy Awards acceptance speech.

“As the first woman to win album of the year at the Grammys twice, I want to say to all the young women out there: there are going to be people along the way who will try to undercut your success or take credit for your accomplishments or your fame,” Swift said near the close of the show. “But if you just focus on the work and you don’t let those people sidetrack you, someday when you get where you’re going. You’ll look around and you’ll know it was you and the people who love you who put you there and that will be the greatest feeling in the world.” (USA Today)

A few days prior, Taylor Swift’s team said she did not grant him her approval and warned Yeezus about dissing her on his new “Famous” song.

Tayor’s rep says, “Kanye did not call for approval, but to ask Taylor to release his single ‘Famous’ on her Twitter account. She declined and cautioned him about releasing a song with such a strong misogynistic message. Taylor was never made aware of the actual lyric, ‘I made that bitch famous.'” (TMZ)
