According to Nichol Lechmanik, the photographer filing the lawsuit–the confrontation unfolded when Ye became suspicious of another photographer, possibly mistaking them for a potential threat. To protect himself, he aggressively approached them and turned his attention to Lechmanik. Frustrated with the constant camera presence, Kanye demanded they stop capturing images.

Lechmanik’s business partner managed to record the incident from the passenger seat, capturing the moment Kanye threw her phone into oncoming traffic. The footage also shows the Chicago native giving them a menacing glare, leaving Lechmanik shaken and fearing for her safety.

The aftermath of the incident significantly impacted Lechmanik’s livelihood, as she could not carry out her professional duties of photographing celebrities. The lawsuit against Kanye West includes allegations of assault, battery, and negligence. Lechmanik seeks legal recourse for the emotional distress, trauma, and financial losses she experienced due to the incident.

Kanye West 2nd Go Round

The Yeezy mogul is no stranger to legal trouble involving altercations with photographers. In January, he was accused of battery for throwing Lechmanik’s phone, although no charges were filed.

In 2013, another photographer came forward, claiming to have spent two weeks on crutches after an attack involving the rapper-turned-mogul at the Los Angeles International Airport. These incidents shed light on the ongoing conflicts between celebrities and photographers.

Kanye also faced an investigation in connection with a battery case where someone was allegedly punched in the head and neck. This incident and the recent lawsuit highlight a pattern of aggressive behavior exhibited by the rapper.

Kanye West Charges Dropped In Battery Investigation For Phone-Tossing Incident

Good news for Ye. It has been reported Kanye West will not be charged in the battery investigation of the alleged throwing of a paparazzi’s phone.

The incident reportedly occurred when Kanye was leaving a recording studio in Los Angeles, where a paparazzi attempted to snap a photo of him. The paparazzi claimed that Kanye threw their phone, causing him to suffer injuries.

According to an article published on TMZ on March 15, 2023, Law enforcement sources have reported that the District Attorney’s office has reviewed the case and decided not to file charges against the Yeezy mogul. The sources also stated that the paparazzi involved in the incident have not cooperated with the investigation.

In addition, the Ventura County District Attorney’s Office issued a statement indicating that the paparazzi’s phone sustained minor damage, limited to the $30 phone case, and the female photographer opted not to pursue charges against Kanye.

Kanye West Named Suspect In Battery Investigation For Snatching Phone Out Of Woman’s Hand

Kanye West is the named suspect in a battery investigation after a heated exchange with a woman who attempted to film him with her phone. A clip reveals West snatching the phone out of the woman’s hand.

Ye has found himself in more legal trouble after arguing with a woman for recording him with her phone in Ventura County on Jan. 27.

“You’re a celebrity,” the unidentified woman said before the “Flashing Lights” artist snatched the phone out of the woman’s hand and headed back to his car alongside his new wife Bianca Censori. The couple was heading to Ye’s oldest daughter, North West’s basketball game.

The police in Ventura County, California, were called to the scene around 4:30 pm this past Friday.

Kanye West Being Investigated For Alleged Criminal Battery

This is not the first time Kanye West has faced battery charges. It was reported that he was involved in a verbal disagreement that grew physical, where Ye punched a fan who wanted an autograph.

TMZ reported that the fan was punched in the head and neck, saying “his head struck the ground hard.”
