2013, the Moonman statue was redesigned for the first time in 30 years by Brooklyn artist KAWS the redesign was done in honor of the VMAs’ first time in Brooklyn. The award was redesigned again by Jeremy Scott for the 2015 MTV Video Music Awards which were held in LA.
