Grammy-winning rapper Kanye West is low-key ready to cook up a storm. New reports claim Yeezy might really branch into the food industry.
According to a Ye insider, Mr. West could very soon have his own restaurant in California.
“Kanye’s shopping for the ideal premises to create a flagship restaurant in Calabasas,” a source told Radar. “He has this vision of creating high-end comfort food just like his mom used to make – but with a price tag that’s as eye-watering as it is mouth-watering, of course.” (RadarOnline)
The success of longtime pal Nas‘ popular Sweet Chick spots might have inspired Kanye’s new career path.
“The New York locations are hipster havens, and the new LA outlet has become THE place to be seen among Hollywood’s rappers,” the source continued. “Kanye watched him build that business practically overnight and it lit a fire under him.” (RadarOnline)
Outside of food, G.O.O.D. Music affiliate Kid Cudi recently hinted at plans to release another joint Kids See Ghosts album with Yeezy.
“It was always seven,” Cudi said when asked if they planned on dropping a seven-song album. “There are some songs that we didn’t use that I’m hopeful we can put out later. But the plan is to do more Kids See Ghosts albums.” (Billboard)
A few weeks ago, Nas revealed he had the duo’s “Reborn” song on repeat.
