Grammy-winning rapper Kanye West has the sneaker world keep close tabs on his shoe game. Yeezy has raised eyebrows this holiday week after getting spotted wearing a pair of non-Adidas kicks.

Despite having massive success with his Yeezy foot apparel brand, a pic has emerged showing Mr. West donning Nikes.

While some people might wonder if this is a clue Ye is gearing up to leave Adidas, media outlets believe he’s sticking with the iconic three stripe giant.

Over the years, West has often worn sneakers by other brands as research for developing his own models. For example, prior to releasing the Yeezy 750, he was heavy into Visvim FBT. The Roshe Run and other sock-like models helped give us the Yeezy 350. Last year, as he entered his running/dad shoe phase, he stepped out in the Reebok Daytona DMX and Under Armour’s Forge 96. If the trend continues and he actually bought the shoe, perhaps we’ll see something a little more technical and unorthodox in terms of design from West in the future. (Complex)

On Thanksgiving, Kanye blessed fans with his new “Closed On Sunday” music video premiere.

Last week, Kanye and rap heavyweight Dr. Dre announced a Jesus Is King follow-up.
