Grammy-winning rapper Kanye West has reportedly shown the world his children, North and Saint West, play a large role on his new The Life Of Pablo album.
Yeezy reportedly credited them as creative consultants on the new project.
Both North West, 2, and Saint West, 2 months, are listed as “creative consultants” on their dad’s new album, The Life of Pablo. A handful of producers and music executives are credited as creative consultants, too, but Nori and Saint get first billing (naturally). We’re sure the West children inspired ‘Ye and his new music, but we’re willing to bet they didn’t have anything to do with some of The Life of Pablo’s controversial lyrics. “Famous,” for example, has a catchy beat, but it isn’t exactly kid-friendly. This week, Kanye vowed his loyalty to streaming service TIDAL and promised to never put the album out for sale.
Recent reports claimed Yeezy’s decision to release his album exclusively through TIDAL has helped the service compete against other streaming companies like Apple and Spotify.
With exclusive streaming rights to Kanye West’s new album The Life of Pablo firmly secured, Tidal has used that as a platform to jump to the top of Apple’s App Store charts as new users eager to hear the rapper’s latest work come on board as subscribers. It’s the first time that the streaming service—which has endured a rocky start since it was relaunched by rapper Jay Z early last year—has hit number one on the app rankings. (Fortune)
Last weekend, Kanye asked fans to join the growing music and entertainment streaming service on Twitter.
