Grammy-winning rapper Kanye West's long-awaited adidas collection is going to receive some serious promotion thanks to a new digital application.
According to reports, diehard Ye fans can keep up-to-date with his launch on the new adidas Confirmed app.
adidas has announced the launch of adidas Confirmed, a revolutionary sneaker reservation app which will debut the release of its highly anticipated collaboration with Kanye West. Sneakerheads will receive push notifications for the most coveted releases, before allowing them to reserve a pair in their size at local adidas stores and select wholesale partners. (Hypebeast)

According to reports, the new app officially launched Tuesday (February 3).
The adidas Confirmed app, released for the first time today, is a new and improved way for consumers to get access to the brand’s limited edition sneakers. It allows users to reserve sneakers from their phone by leveraging geo targeting technology. The tech verifies an individual’s location in an effort to protect consumers from abhorred “bots” that attempt to game the system and often interfere with launches through social media promotions on networks like Twitter. adidas executive Simon Atkins discussed the new launch via a statement.
“If you look at the landscape today in our industry, it can be very frustrating,” explained Simon Atkins, adidas VP of Brand Activation. “People are faced with several issues that gets in the way of a seamless transaction. A lot of retailers use a lottery system in brick and mortar. A lot of people believe the system is rigged. Because of a live re-sale industry, a lot of people trying to game the system. We’ve tried to be the first in the industry to cut through all of that.” (Statement)
The app is currently available for select iPhone and Android users.
The Confirmed app is currently supported on Apple iPhones starting with the iPhone 4S all the way through the newest iPhone 6 Plus. It is also available on Google Play. Users are advised to enable push notifications on the app to receive notifications when reservation periods begin. For now, users must be located within New York City to participate in product launches. (Forbes)
