G.O.O.D. Music head Kanye West has come forward to provide some insight on his long-awaited solo album follow-up to 2013’s Yeezus release.

Although he did not pencil in a drop date, Yeezy said the mysterious LP would not be rushed.

“I’m just living my life. I’m having a good time, I’m with my family, and I’m getting the opportunity to create, work on my clothes, work on my films, work on DONDA, work on the next album, work on it slowly, make it an art project, deliver the innovation I know and that I’ve consistently done since 808s and Dark Fantasy. I’m in my own zone. I can’t walk around trying to defend myself.” (Hot 97)

According to reports, technology giant Apple wants to partner with Yeezy for his upcoming LP.

Apple is particularly keen on an exclusive from West’s forthcoming album, currently — but not definitively titled “Swish”. Sources say the company has been talking to him about it for some time, but hasn’t yet been able to finalize a deal, and negotiations between West and Iovine continue. (Buzz Feed)

Recent reports claimed Yeezy possibly had some business brewing with the company’s Apple Music launch.

ON THE ROCS: Kanye West is making changes, distancing himself from Tidal, firing Roc Nation and managing himself, with an unofficial assist from the Jenner-Kardashian clan. As for Kanye’s long-delayed album, there’s some chatter that the release will be connected to Apple Music’s launch. (Hits Daily Double)

Despite the speculation and buzzing gossip, recent reports about Kanye leaving rap star Jay Z‘s Roc Nation company were shut down.

A source close to the situation told Complex that Kanye is not, and has no plans to, leave Roc Nation. To back up the source’s information even further, ‘Ye is still listed on the artist page on the Roc Nation site. (Complex)
