For the entire duration of his fame, Kanye has always shown support for his race. It began in 2005, with the statement “George Bush doesn’t care about black people” on live television during a Hurricane Katrina relief commercial. In the song “Gorgeous”, he rapped “at the airport they check all through my bag and tell me that it’s random, but we stay winning” in a reference to prejudicial treatment of blacks. His other lyrics are filled with similar racial discussions, and he’s never been one to shy away from a controversial line. Kanye has vocalized his support for the Black Lives Matter movement as well.
