In a new episode on Nick Cannon’s podcast, he came to the defense of Brooklyn Nets player Kyrie Irving.

According to TMZ, the Wild ‘N’ Out personality has come out and said that he knows that Irving is not anti-semitic and that the Nets’ recent decision is dehumanizing.

In the episode, he was with a member of the ADL, the Anti-Defamation League, pleading Irving’s case that he is not anti-semitic.

Further in the interview, he compares what is happening to Irving to “buck breaking.” When asked what “buck breaking” is, Cannon says that it is when the “buck,” the enslaved person who is “out of line,” is used as an example to other slaves of what not to do.

Irving has been under fire for supporting an Amazon film, Hebrews to Negros: Wake Up Black America,  that has been seen to have anti-semitic views.

Since then, The Brooklyn Nets have suspended the point guard indefinitely for declining to say that he does not hold anti-semitic views.

This hits home for the Drumline actor.

Two years ago, he was fired from Viacom when he went on a podcast and made comments that were seen as anti-semitic.

He has since apologized and made amends with the company in 2021.

Floyd Mayweather Defends Kyrie Irving As Amazon Documentary Controversy Continues

Boxing legend Floyd Mayweather is one of the latest celebrities to come to the Brooklyn Nets point guard’s defense after being accused of being anti-semitic.

Kyrie posted a link on his social media to an Amazon documentary called Hebrews To Negroes: Wake Up Black America.

Later, Floyd released a video saying he is in Kyrie’s corner after the NBA star was suspended and fined due to posting the film. Floyd said:

“I was going to post something on one of my social media pages, but I decided to do it the old-school way and read it out to you cause you are a great person, great father, a great athlete and you believe what you believe.”

A Leader With Freedom Of Speech

In addition, Floyd mentioned that Kyrie served to use freedom of speech and choice while giving him props for standing strong in what he believes.

The boxing icon also added his take on the ironic disadvantages of being a leader with a few wise words:

“It’s crazy how people hate you for being a leader. I hope your actions encourage others to stand up and say enough is enough. Respect to you, Kyrie,” Floyd added.

Rapper Kanye West also showed solidarity with Kyrie by posting him on Twitter.

Kyrie Irving To Donate $500K To Anti-Defamation League After Anti-Semitic Controversy

NBA star guard Kyrie Irving was in the headlines earlier this week for posting a film deemed as anti-semitic. The NBA star also received support from Kanye West but has now seemingly taken responsibility for sharing the film.

According to the New York Times, Kyrie and the Brooklyn Nets have donated $500,000 each to the Anti-Defamation League, a Jewish-owned organization specializing in civil rights.

Kyrie and the Brooklyn Nets also released a joint statement along with the donation to the Anti-Defamation League.

“I oppose all forms of hatred and oppression and stand strong with communities that are marginalized and impacted every day,” Kyrie said.

Before the retracted statement, Kanye West, also called anti-semitic after previous tweets, supported Kyrie by posting him on his Twitter account.

Kanye West Defends Kyrie Irving After Anti-Semitic Controversy

Kanye West defended NBA star Kyrie Irving after he was accused of being anti-semitic. With Kanye and Kyrie on the same page, some believe a “Black awakening” could occur.

Kanye West has made heavy headlines in the last couple of weeks after his recent comments that were labeled as anti-semitic. For a minute, it appeared another celebrity shared his views.

Chairman of the Brooklyn Nets, Joe Tsai, condemned Irving for the post on his Instagram story, expressing great disappointment and saying it is wrong to promote “hate.”

The 2018 documentary on Amazon Prime, From Hebrews To Negroes: Wake Up Black America, tells a story about Jews playing a role in the trans-Atlantic slave trade.

Meanwhile, Kanye defended Kyrie on his Instagram page after Irving was also labeled as anti-semitic on social media. Kanye captioned the photo of Irving, saying, “There’s some real ones still here.”

Irving was also questioned by a reporter at a post-game press conference about posting the documentary and whether or not he was anti-semitic.

So far, Irving has not lost deals like Kanye has since posting the documentary. Neither Kanye nor Irving have expressed meeting up with one another.

Russell Simmons Says Kanye West Canceled Himself To Be Freed From Contracts

Rap mogul Russell Simmons came to Kanye West’s defense after his recent comments were perceived as anti-semitic. In a YouTube video, Simmons said that Kanye could “make his own everything” and doesn’t need a company to succeed.

Simmons faced similar circumstances after sexual assault allegations in 2017.
