[K-Rino is known around the music industry for his lyrical ability but also his reputation for putting high doses of reality in his music. In other words he’s not afraid to speak his mind but is also one guy you never wanna try to f@#k with on the mic! Check out what K had so say below about his historical 7-album release where he will be the first artist in history to drop this many albums all on the same day!]

K-Rino Speaks On Being The First Artist To Drop 7 Albums On 1 Day

I heard of a guy who recently did 4 (albums) I don’t know who he was or what genre of music it was, but it was nothing close to that 7. One thing I do know is that artists on a major label probably wouldn’t be able to do that if they wanted to because they want to milk an album, but even in the underground I have not heard of it so I think I’m swimming in uncharted waters right now.

The Original Plan Was 100 Songs

I’m not a believer in coincidence but what did happen in the beginning the original idea was 100 songs, it wasn’t based around a number of albums, but then I started to think about the break down in terms of how many albums that would be if it was 100 songs and I would put 14 on each album and that’s how the number 7 came up. Then Muhammad was like “Yeah, that’s the number of God man” so I don’t think that was a coincidence that the 7 came up but when I started writing I didn’t want to write 100 songs, so we ended up putting 12 on each album, and I did 84 songs.

Humbled By DJ Premier & Others Wanting To Work W/ Him

It’s a blessing because I respect guys like DJ Premier, I respect David Banner and guys that got at me at times and showed me love like that, and there has been many more of them. It’s a testament to the work I put in, and how I never tried to cheat the game. I also have to reciprocate that same love and respect back to those guys because they are OGs and people who have influenced me as well.

K-Rino Speaks On Ganxsta NIP Horrorcore Rhymes In The 80s

Well everybody that knows me they know what answer is coming. The inventor of Horrorcore is none other than Ganxsta NIP, Psycho NIP, Brother NIP, whatever name you want to refer to him as, NIP is the originator of the Horrorcore style. The reason I say that is because I’ve been knowing NIP for 30 years and as long as I been knowing NIP this is how he rapped. We 16, and 17 years old before NIP even released a record he was talking about snatching the veins off your arms and using them as shoestrings. These are real rhymes that he said, when I battled NIP he told me he was gonna snatch the veins out of my arms and use them as shoestrings, this was ’87. There is nobody else I could pick out that was rappin’ like that, it’s just NIP. No disrespect to anybody else who is a Horrorcore rapper, but he is the king and he is the pioneer of it and he is the greatest at it because when he is at his most extreme there is nobody else who is more extreme. There’s so many dimensions to how he creates his horrorcore style. He’s the greatest!

The Epic Battle W/ Original Geto Boy Member Jukebox

Shout out to Juke Box, that’s my brother I got nothing but love for Jukebox. I think back to those times and he was a warrior. Him and Raheem came to my school and they was looking for me, they had just got ion Rapalot. I walked out into the hallway and there they was. I was just so wild and crazy back then I just said “Let’s do it now!” and the teacher came out and ran them off, eventually we battled at this legendary skating rink that was in Houston and this time it was Jukebox and Bushwick, I don’t remember if Bushwick rapped, we squared it off at that time. Those were some legendary times man. I got so much respect for people like Jukebox because you got artists that was true to the art form and that is what it was.
