[With his sizzling "Cut That Chick Off" anthem keeping this summer hot, Interscope Records' K. Camp tells SOHH readers which remix surprised him the most, what life on a major's like and why he had to repost Nicki Minaj's "Anaconda" artwork on Instagram.]
I think Rick Ross was the most surprising “Cut That Chick Off” remix I heard. Ricky Rozay probably killed it the best. Lil Boosie did his thing on it. I really like what Kevin Gates did, too. Those are probably my three favorite versions.
I didn’t know ‘Cut It Off’ was going to become such a smash. I just made music for the clubs but I’m not complaining with it going all over the place.
It’s still the same sh*t being signed to Interscope Records. We just have that machine behind us. We’ve been in the same grind for a minute now.
Interscope seen us in the streets. We were out here and entertaining. They liked us a lot so we reached out to them.
It’s way too early to start thinking about how I want to release my debut album. The selections I put on there will be all about everyday life.
That Nicki Minaj back looks good and that’s why I posted it [on Instagram]. I’m looking at her photo from a male perspective. Her a** looks good and that’s why I had to repost the photo.
