The hip-hop veteran – who recently put out a remix to his classic ‘Back That Thang Up’ 1998 single – is standing behind his decision to reunite with Cash Money’s Mannie Fresh and make a pro-vaccination anthem.

Juvenile cited the loss of family and friends as even more motivation to put out a song aimed at changing the negative narrative of vaccinations especially for the Black community. He did, however, clarify people should become educated on vaccinations first before going forward to take one of the shots.

Juvie specifically states he’s not forcing or pushing anyone to get vaccinated but does stand behind the overall purpose and reason for slowing the spread of COVID-19.

The ‘Vax That Thang Up’ campaign is a collaborative effort between himself and Mannie Fresh plus Atlanta-based creative agency Majority and BLK – one of the largest dating apps made for Black bachelors and bachelorettes.

Juvenile joins a list of A-list entertainers including G.O.O.D Music’s John Legend encouraging people to get vaccinated and help protect loved ones from the dangers of getting coronavirus.

Do you applaud Juvenile for his stance toward the shots or are you feeling a certain type of way? Tell us what you think below.
