The NBA’s stance against protesting the National Anthem didn’t deter Justine Skye. The R&B singer has made headlines after kneeling at last night’s Brooklyn Nets home opener.

Skye went to Instagram last night (October 20) to show off her pro-Black Lives Matter moment.

In early October, Cleveland Cavaliers’ JR Smith reacted to the NBA’s anti-National Anthem protest stance.

A few days prior, a report emerged about the NBA’s headline-generating memo.

According to the memo, obtained by ESPN, “the league office will determine how to deal with any possible instance in which a player, coach, or trainer does not stand for the anthem.” The memo goes on to say the rule is compulsory … teams “do not have the discretion to waive” the rule. (TMZ)

Recently, “Power” star Omari Hardwick and rapper French Montana both saluted NFL free agent Colin Kaepernick for making kneeling a Black Lives Matter statement across the nation.
