New York rapper Juelz Santana isn’t quite ready to start up his prison sentence. New reports claim the hip-hop artist is scheduled to surrender to law enforcement this week but has requested a delay.

According to reports, Santana has asked for some extended time to go and see Hollywood icon Tyler Perry as fictional character Madea.

According to court docs obtained by The Blast, Juelz is requesting the current surrender date of January 30, 2019 be extended by a month. He is asking for permission to travel to Georgia next month to attend the filming of a Tyler Perry reunion. The docs state, “This event is connected to his participation in the television show ‘Love & Hip Hop.’ It is crucial to his professional career that he be able to participate, and it will provide closure for him as he embarks on his term of imprisonment.” (The Blast)

Music mogul JAY-Z recently pulled up with his mother-in-law and wife Beyoncé to check out Perry’s Madea Farewell tour stop in Los Angeles.

A couple nights ago, Perry jumped on Instagram to geek out over Bey sharing a pic of herself next to a Madea shot.

Last weekend, Bey shared a grip of new pics including one of herself saluting Madea.
