New York rapper Juelz Santana is going to spend a bit longer than anticipated in jail. A judge has denied the Diplomat’s request to get released in a gun and drug case on bail.
According to reports, Santana appeared in court Monday (March 26) and learned his fate.
Rapper Juelz Santana will remain in custody after a judge ruled Monday that a proposed bail package was insufficient to allow his release on weapons and drug charges. Judge James Clark 3rd rejected the bail package for The Diplomats founding member, whose real name is LaRon James. Another court date has not been scheduled, his lawyer, Brian Neary, said. During his jail stint, Dipset’s Cam’ron and Jim Jones have flexed their support for him.
A few days ago, Juelz’s longtime girlfriend Kimbella penned an open message to him.
Earlier this month, Juelz appeared in court and pleaded not guilty to both drug and gun charges from his Newark Liberty International Airport incident.
Santana entered his plea in Newark on Wednesday to two state weapons charges and a drug possession charge. His next court hearing is scheduled for April 9. Santana also faces federal charges stemming from the same incident and is being jailed while the case proceeds. (Page Six)
