This is more hip-hop than you’ve ever heard before. It’s evolution music. It’s music with a meaning. Every song has its purpose.

There is a meaning to every word on here and every title of every record. This is for the people that are the black sheep of this world and for the people who feel it’s just them against the world the same way Jackie Robinson felt.

Jackie Robinson was the only black player in the MLB because of his talent and solely because of his talent. Nothing else got him there. He had white teammates. So on my cover artwork, I am a black male surrounded by a bunch of white women and the symbolism is me being in a white world because we are in a white world – let’s just be honest – and it’s just me being different and standing out.

Jackie Robinson was already on my mind when I put out The Recipe mixtape. That was just to feed the Internet.

The bonus music I put on the album features Wiz Khalifa, Problem, Buddy and a couple of others.

I decided to put out Jackie Robinson today because I have a release party this weekend so this hitting the Internet and media today is different. It’s different than what people are used to and the media dealing with 10 albums being released and 10 interviews having to happen, I wanted to create a main release and give this project all of the attention it deserves and notoriety.

There’s a lot of heart, energy and effort put into this. It took a lot to make this what it is.
