Hollywood director Jordan Peele has a few thoughts on Kanye West‘s state of mind. The Get Out and Us filmmaker recently talked about Yeezy in 2019 and why the G.O.O.D. Music head is keeping it 100 for better or worse.

In Peele’s opinion, Kanye’s public remarks and social media posts are just his perception of what he believes is the truth.

“However frustrated I am with what he’s doing, the artist in me is like, ‘He saw my movie [Get Out]!’ ” Peele says. “The thing about Kanye is, it feels to me that, whatever he’s going through, he’s trying to tell his truth. And there’s something magnetic about people who are trying to tell the truth. I might be wrong, but my feeling is that even when he’s saying something I disagree with, he’s trying to tell his truth, and that’s more than you can say about 90 percent of people.” (Rolling Stone)

Over the weekend, Kanye reunited with former Roc-A-Fella Records owner Dame Dash.

Recently, 112’s Slim revealed possible plans to make new music with Yeezy.

“We talked about a lot of things and there was a situation going on spiritually that he’s involved himself in as far as church and it was kind of the way I was raised – you can take music that’s going on right now and you change it and you put the Lord, Jesus, in it and make it Christian. It kind of draws the youth to church. It makes church cool. Hearing this right here, I definitely have a connection – we talked about a lot of things. Kanye being a musical genius, he can make an album and then scrap it. I’m not the type of person to say this is what he’s going to do or this is what we’re going to do – whatever happens, it’s something that God wanted to happen.” (TMZ)

Recent reports claimed Kanye had recruited a slew of hip-hop heavyweights for a new album.

Ye’s lineup of talent is insane — we’re talking Lil Wayne, Migos, Timbaland and 2 Chainz. He’s also working with rising stars Tee Grizzley and YNW Melly. We’re told the Miami recording sessions are a big reason Ye surprised Kim Kardashian with their new $14 million condo on South Beach. (TMZ)
