G.O.O.D. Music’s John Legend has no problem going at his boss. The crooner has stepped forward to defend publicly checking Kanye West over his publicized and blind support of President Donald Trump.
In a new interview with radio personality Angela Yee, John explained the global impact Ye has.
“That’s fine for him to think whatever he thinks but every time he makes an utterance and publishes it, it has impact. Politicians, when they do things it has impact and when you align yourself with them, it doesn’t mean you’re endorsing everything they stand for but you’re endorsing their agenda, essentially and if Trump’s agenda is bringing so much pain to so many people, then I don’t think we should be endorsing it. [Maybe he’s removed from the average person?] That’s what I said yesterday in my tweets. Sometimes we have the luxury of being insulated from that.” (Lip Service)
Yesterday, Kanye raised eyebrows by exposing John’s personal text messages on Twitter.

A couple days ago, John Legend appeared to low-key take shots at Ye in light of his pro-Trump stance.
I imagine there's some comfort in imagining a future without racism and projecting that onto the present. Thinking if we just deny the truth, it doesn't exist. If history is erased, we don't have to deal with its consequences. However…
