Pro Era’s Joey Bada$$ has come forward and is speaking out amid the death of Maryland man Freddie Gray this week by peacefully protesting in New York City.

Speaking at Frederick Douglass High School in Baltimore, alongside Reverend Jamal Bryant, rap star Wale talked about the importance of speaking to youth this week.
“Regardless of what’s happened out here, these are the young leaders of tomorrow and they have to look in the mirror and see something better than what they’re being perceived as on TV,” Wale said. “We need each other. We need our community leaders to come step forward and we need these kids to understand that somebody believes in them. I believe in them, Jamal believes in them and there’s a lot of people in this community that believe in these kids.” (My Fox DC)

Footage of various gang members putting their differences aside for non-violent unity surfaced online this week.
“We got Bloods, Crips, J’s, Latin Kings. Everybody who’s beefing with each other is all united together to fight for this cause,” a man said from a gang rally for Freddie Gray. Another man proclaimed, “I’m a Crip. I sat with Bloods, BGIs, on a truck. I’m the only Crip here. If they wanted to do something to me, they’d do it. I’m not afraid. They not afraid. We’re not here for us, we’re here for y’all.” (AJ+)
The fact of the matter is that Freddy Grey was murdered for basically for having a keen sense of self preservation. The Nubian man has been psychology effected by the continuation of the out right government green light that the police force has been allowed to operate.
