New York rappers Action Bronson and Smoke DZA also reacted to the verdict on social media.

According to reports, a Staten Island jury reached its decision Wednesday (December 3).

The decision was reached after months of testimony, including from the officer who used the chokehold, Daniel Pantaleo. The grand jury reached its decision less than two weeks after a grand jury in Ferguson, Mo., declined to bring charges against a white officer who fatally shot an unarmed black teenager, Michael Brown. Despite killing Garner, the jury did not believe officers committed a crime.

In delivering a vote of “no true bill,” jurors determined there was not probable cause that a crime was committed by NYPD officer Daniel Pantaleo, who was seen on a widely watched amateur video wrapping his arm around Garner’s neck as the 43-year-old yelled, “I can’t breathe!” during the July 17 confrontation. Garner, who had been stopped by Pantaleo and several other NYPD officers, including two sergeants, on suspicion of selling loose, untaxed cigarettes, was pronounced dead at a hospital. 1. People say dont whine dont scream race and why are you so upset if blacks kills black….if this is the logic then i think we need to look at the history books and do exactly what was done when Europe would not give america the freedom it wanted…. the people formed militia’s ….all american have a right to bare arms for this very reason i think this day looks a lot like that day and all black light or dark should unite and form a black wave of protection by any means if needed…..it seems to be ok to kill black at will….so now maybe our bullets should have more sinister intent..

      • i just cant understand how or why wrong can done and accepted …America as a country see’s wrong or what they perceive to be wrong from western logic and they throw on the cap….and go to war for non American’s…yet American who suffer are not saved….I spoke to a Lawyer in My office and they simply explained it as that if the law say its ok then its ok….not that its right but that its right with in the eye of the law….My response was how can we force change for other American groups and non American. Yet there is resistance to help us….The next answer i got was that we operate under democracy….so i said how can democracy ever be truely fare if the ratio is 75-25…i got no answer….so then i started thinking how bad it really is….not only are we powerless through vote….we cant change the laws with out help from the same people who we feel oppress us…..Think about the black vote it was not powerful enough to get obama in office…..so how can be strong enough to evoke change…..with out allies…then thats a even darker alley cause every other race looks at us like we are the problem…they think we should just suck it up and that we are not trying…America loves ranks it loves to have some low and others up….they tell everyone to go to the school as a path to freedom cause they know…all cant afford it..if school is the say all to all why not give it free…poor countries have free college…and germany has apprenticeship programs…but here we take pleasure and being able to be better and being to afford what others cant….how can there be equality…but asking this gets you a dont it like leave…

When i give the poor food they call me a saint….when i ask why the poor does not have food they call me a communist…

  2. we need a black out ….all and every black should leave work school and boycott for black life….we have to stop separating ourselves as blacks and niggers educated and thug are both needed for this fight young and old are needed for this fight unity is needed for this fight
