Slaughterhouse's Joe Budden recently shared one of his rhyme-writing secrets and revealed the motivation behind his new book, Enter the Mind of Joe Budden.
According to Budden, he prefers to not force out raps when putting together records.
“[The book] was something I felt the fans deserved, sort of like a give back to them, the fans who do more than just listen to music and words and actually relate to all the special pieces in their hearts…I don’t write if I’m not inspired,” Budden revealed in an interview. “I don’t force it at all. When the words start to come, as a writer, some of you guys know, when you get that sudden barrage of words and you get inspired, it’s much easier to do that way than trying to force it…” (Good Fella Media)

Details on the cost and estimated production of the book hit the Internet earlier this summer.
The book, which is available for pre-order ahead of its August 10 release, will receive a limited pressing of 300 copies, each being sold for $30 and including an autograph from the emcee. The collection also features an introduction from MC, Senior Writer at The Source Magazine. Budden will celebrate his first book on the night of its release with a performance at the New York Cityvenue S.O.B.’s, featuring an opening set from The Doppelgangaz. (The Boom Box)
Writing via Twitter late last month, Budden revealed plans to release an upcoming Mood Muzik 4 mixtape this fall.
