Days after the release of 50 Cent's Animal Ambition single "Hold On," incarcerated music executive James "Jimmy Henchman" Rosemond's son has responded to dicey lyrics aimed at him.

James Rosemond Jr. issued a statement to address Fif referencing the now-infamous incident involving him being attacked by a G-Unit affiliate seven years ago.

“First and foremost, when is it cool for four grown men in their 30?s to surround and hit a 14 year-old middle school kid? The incident in 2007 was a bad situation I didn’t deserve, and seven years later it’s now being made fun of in a record? What real gangster condones grown men assaulting a minor or a young man who has no involvement in the beef? Plus, these guys have kids of their own, and they should know better!” (AHH)

The music executive’s son also questioned Fif’s integrity for going after a defenseless foe.

“Secondly, who gets credit for trying to diss a man who is currently down and in no position to defend himself at this moment? It’s so easy to try to kick a man when he is down. What “real” street person applauds when a person is fighting against the same corrupt and prejudice system that has incarcerated a lot of black men? I guess that’s how some “gangster rappers” build their credibility.” (AHH)

On Fif’s “Hold On,” he takes a few shots at Henchman and his son.

“Sometimes it’s hard as h*ll not to touch stuff,” Fif raps. “On the phone I heard Yayo smacked the sh*t outta kid/Now Jimmy got life, go smack him again/When it’s war, it’ll be war until the bitter end/If they ever say we lose, I’ll start it again/That sneaky n*gga sprayed that semi at your mama crib/With a silencer, we couldn’t even hear the sh*t” (“Hold On”)

Recently, ex-Unit member Game spoke on Jimmy’s incarceration and touched on the jabs his ex-boss had taken on social media.

“I talked to Jimmy via text, in the prison system, he’s optimisic,” Game said in an interview. “All I do is pray for him, tell him to hold his head and wish him the best in the situation. It’s a very unfortunate situation, ’cause like me and you know, Jimmy’s one of the best dudes – throughout life we make decisions, choices, out here it’s a jungle. You gotta survive and he did what he had to do, whatever that may have been at that time. … Shout-out to Jimmy H. [50 Cent’s disses?] Uh, you know, he ain’t got nothing else to do. You know? Them energy drinks, you drink enough of them sh*ts and you’ll be rambling too. I’m not really tripping off dude with that old sh*t. I’m just getting my money, man, and doing my sh*t.” (“Tim Westwood TV”)
