Dipset leader Cam’ron recently talked about his temporary detachment from Jim Jones a few years ago and how Capo even tried to convince him to go with a publicity stunt.

According to Killa, Jimmy wanted to give the media and fans a fake beef to talk about.

Cam also talks about his falling out with Jim Jones from a few years back which he says was a result of Jones cooking up an issue between the two. “All of us in a good space right now, but I never really fed into it when all that was going on,” he says. “We always strategized and stuff. There was a time [Jones] was in my kitchen and he was like, ‘Yo, let’s act like we got beef.’ I’m like, ‘Why would we act like we have beef?'” (Complex)

Back in spring 2009, Jones defended siding with G-Unit’s 50 Cent during Cam’s minor rift with him a couple years prior.

“By the time that 50 Cent sh*t came into play, whatever was going on between me and Cam was already going on,” Jones explained. “I couldn’t really worry about what people was thinking at that point because I got a career to worry about. And if nobody else is gonna worry about my career then I am so the moves I make are the moves I make whether n*ggas like it or not.” (This Is Jim Jones)

Killa also previously touched on his issues with Jimmy supporting Fif in the heat of their problems.

“It’s a wrap,” Cam said in an interview. “I called Jim. Everybody kinda not been speaking for three years anyway, it just got in the public. Once a problem gets in the public for me, it can’t be fixed…The first public joint was he called Miss Info talking a bunch of stuff I don’t even like to repeat…Going on stage with 50 when me and him are in the middle of a heated battle, that was another thing.” (The Angie Martinez Show)

Dismissing any and all feud speculation, Killa Cam recently admitted scheduling and an emphasis on putting out a quality effort has kept a Dipset reunion album shelved.

“Well, you know we all good with each other. It’s about everybody, everybody still got a lot going on. You know what I’m saying? It’s about everybody just being on the same page and not being busy. You know what I’m saying? Everybody got something going on right now. So, we all just gotta get on the same page and if we get the time, but it’s definitely all love. It’s just about nobody wants to sit in the studio for a week and just do a Dipset album cause it wouldn’t be genuine. So, basically we trying to figure out the time schedule so we can do it and get it right.” (Hoodrich Radio)
